USA – Caring for the homeless in Downtown Los Angeles

We are partnering with Compassion through Action to help care for the homeless. The volunteers gather food and clothing and deliver it to the people every other week.  We are always seeking donations for food, clothing, or help in distributing.

There are approximately 4700 homeless people living in downtown LA according to the latest poll taken in 2016.  More than the 36,000 homeless in our state are working aged adults from 25-54 years. 66% of men and 34% are women.

We want to thank Camino Real Kitchens for their generous donation of over 80,000 chimichangas.  Even though we could not take them all, we did manage to distribute over 3600 with the help of our volunteers.
